As winter draws to a close, the warmer and colorful season of spring arises, and so does the new season’s fashions. This spring, new and bold trends are being noticed , and here are a few that are extremely wearable, and affordable.

One spring trend all over the runways this year is bermuda shorts. This laid-back and effortless look is great for the transition to spring, and is a different option than the standard capri’s.
http://www.ae.com/web/browse/product.jsp?productId=6332_3452_826&catId=cat380159

Its time to put the uggs away and go for more color this spring. To add a pop of color to your outfit, opt for these coral wedge sandals that are practical for your budget at $33, and are practical for your feet.

https://www.lulus.com/products/bamboo-matthew-02-coral-cutout-wedge-sandals/85298.html

Some trends can be tricky to pull of if you are not a 6’0” stick thin model, but this spring black and white are in, and can look great on everyone.
This Forever 21 dress is a play of this trend with using cream and dark navy, and is extremely affordable at $13.50, but keep in mind there are millions of pieces that you can pair to fit this trend, including black or white statement jewelry.

New artist Sean Forbes released his new album, Perfect Imperfections. Overall this album is a complete miss as the songs are cheesy and the music videos are awkward to watch. Other’s opinions have mirrored my own as their reaction clearly showed the songs bad quality. One of Forbes songs, “Let’s Mambo,” is probably the worst as the music, dancing, and singing is all very strange, and again, awkward to watch.

Forbes is deaf, and all of his music videos are geared toward deaf people because they all do sign language in the video. I don’t think that is what detracts from the video as much as the strange and over-exaggerated singing along with the poor rapping, especially in his single, “Def Deaf Girls.”

Overall I commend Forbes for following his dreams despite his disability, but unfortunately his album is just not up to par musically.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars

On March, 25 in the commons area at Howell, the bone registry event “Be a Match” will be held, to help Joerling in his search to find a match. Anyone between the ages of 18 and 44 can join the “Be a Match” bone marrow registry. It takes around 15 minutes, and a cheek swab sample, to register. For more information on the program, visit: www.BeTheMatch.org.
